The Oak Ridge Lions Club participates in the “Kroger Cares” program, whereby supporters can purchase Kroger Cares Certificates from the Oak Ridge Lions Club account at the SunTrust Bank branch in the Oak Ridge Kroger store, and when they are used to shop at any Kroger store a portion of the purchase (a very generous 5%!) is credited to the Oak Ridge Lions Club for project funding. For the shopper’s convenience, the certificates may be added to a Kroger gift card at the Customer Service desk in the store.
This program has earned the Oak Ridge Lions Club over $11,000 over the course of its existence, most of which has gone to support the Lions Kid Sight program at Vanderbilt University.
This is a near painless way to support the Oak Ridge Lions projects, and anyone, Lion or not, can participate!
